Frac Sand ServicesIn order to improve production from oil and gas wells, at times pressure is used to fracture the rock formations to allow better flow of the oil and natural gas to the well. When this pressure is removed, however, the fracture that was created closes back up which dramatically diminishes the effectiveness of the fracture and the extraction of hydrocarbons. Frac sand is sand that is pumped into the well during the fracturing operation. Since the Frac sand is carried along with the fluid into the fracture, it will remain in the fracture when the pressure is removed, keeping the fracture propped open and allowing a good means by which the hydrocarbons can flow to the well. Frac sand used for this purpose has to be the right size; 20/40, 30/50, 40/70 for example and it depends on the use either for oil or natural gas, the sand has to be round in shape and have the required hardness or crush resistance to sustain the pressure of fracturing. Do you know if you have Frac sand on your property? If you are interested in learning more about whether you have Frac sand on your property, or selling your land or your Frac sand, we can help. We potentially have buyers for either land or sand, if you have the right size, hardness, quantities and location. Please contact Greg Haselwander for more information about Frac sand.
